On Saturday, July 26, more than 400 former Ground Zero rescue and
recovery workers will reunite at Ground Zero for the 7th Annual
Independence Ride – a charity motorcycle motorcade benefiting
Tuesday’s Children, a nonprofit organization that provides services and
programs to the families of 9/11. Anderson House a residential treatment
program for women recovering from alcoholism, based in New Jersey, will
also benefit from the event.
The bikers will gather at Ground Zero for registration beginning at 7:00
a.m. At 9:30 a.m., after the “blessing of the bikes” by Father Brian
Jordan, the motorcade will travel to Krucker’s Grove in Pomona, New York
for a family BBQ with musical entertainment by Dan Lawson’s Blues Band,
Brothers of the Road and Cheap Sunglassezz 3.
