PAST EVENT - Care Packages for Deployed Troops Poker Run

If you or someone you know would like to have a booth at the poker run, spaces are $25.00 each and booth vendors need to be set up by 10am, registration starts at 11:00am and first bike out 12 noon. Each booth will need to provide their own table, chairs & tent. I ask that you stay until 6pm at least since last bike in is 5pm and should be able to announce the poker hand winners by 6pm or shortly there after.

The door prizes are items valued at $5.00 up to $50.00 with suggestions as tool bags, Lowe's or Home Depot, Auto-Zone, Oil-Lube changes, Leather shops, tattoo parlors, food coupons for dinner for two or free pizza coupons, Blockbuster gift cards. Since the State Fair will be around that would be great tickets also or Movie passes, Zoo tickets, logo T-shirts, or Hats, Gift Certificates from motorcycle shops, etc.

Sponsorship cash &/or $100.00+ is white star category w/name of biz on shirt. Sponsorship cash &/or $250.00+ is red star category w/name of biz on shirt. Sponsorship cash &/or $500.00+ is blue star category w/name at top of shirt.

The poker run helps raise funds for care packages that the Blue Star Mom chapter puts together and ships to deployed troops that names/addresses have been provided by friends & family members of loved ones that have been deployed. We require the deployment date & return date so their name can be taken off the ship-out list 6-8 weeks prior to their return home since the military stops delivering mail at that time also. Last year our postage expenses were close to $16,000.00 due to averaging 260 to 390 boxes shipped 4 times to each person on the list during their deployment dates.

Donated items listed are dropped off at our warehouse in downtown Oklahoma City and our warehouse space is donated also, therefore our main overhead is the $10.00 (aprox) priority box postage.
