On Nov. 4, 2004 our son Dominick was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer. After a 25 day stay and many visits to Roanoke hospitals and trips to Duke University, Dominick lost his battle on June 1,2005.

In Oct. 2006 we held the 1st Dominick Tennies Memorial Car Show raising $500 for Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation. In Oct. 2007 we had the 2nd car show raising $800 and the 3rd in Oct. 2008 raising $1810 for Cure Kids Cancer of Roanoke. The Cure Kids Cancer Organization is raising money to provide equipment to a non-profit hospital to help allow them to treat more children… regardless of their ability to pay.

All money raised benefits Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital Oncology program. New cancer treating equipment will allow our local hospitals to keep local children home as well as treating children in a wider area around Roanoke. Our goal is to grow each year until a cure for kid’s cancer can be found. There is a long, hard road ahead of a child with cancer and its rough.

We as Dominick’s parents have experienced the heartache and pain that a family with a child with cancer will go through. All of these families that loose a child to cancer will have (WHAT IF’S). These what ifs can never be answered. As a sponsor you can help stop these what ifs. Together we can make a difference.

We are now putting together the 4th Dominick Tennies Memorial Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show for 2009 that will be held on Oct.10, 2009 at Auto Plus – Uniselect USA 2177 Dale Ave. Roanoke, Va.

All money raised will be donated to the Cure Kids Cancer to help them reach their goal of curing kids cancer. We are now asking for sponsors and donations of items that can be auctioned, raffled, or given as door prizes. Any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible through Cure Kids Cancer.
