PAST EVENT - Evans Rally and Run

Evan’s Rally & Run March 28, 2010
Sunday 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Detail: Location: Biff Burger 3939 49th Street N. St. Petersburg, Fl Starts at Noon $10 per bike and $5 for passenger for run there will be 50/50, Raffles, bike show and biker games Registration for the ride will start at noon. The biker games will commence at 1:00 p.m.

The bike show results (awards) will be at 2:45 p.m. (just before the ride begins). The actual ride will start at 3:00 p.m. The actual ride will be approximately 30 to 45 minutes through Pinellas County, ending at Evan's home wherein there will be a Bar-B-Que with refreshments.

Evan is a handsome six year old boy who survived a massive stroke at the age of two, which landed him on life support and a five month hospital stay. At the age of four, he developed a seizure disorder which set him back on several occasions, including over a dozen hospitalizations. At the age of five, he was diagnosed with an illness which affects his brain. The family's primary insurance carrier has decided not to pay for Evan's therapy.

Currently, Evan has right-side weakness and many cognitive and motor delays caused by the stroke. He was making notable progress until, January 30, 2010, wherein he suffered another seizure, which sent him back to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl. Despite the numerous hospitalizations, the set-backs and the pain that this young man has endured, he can still light up a room with his smile. Evan has a very strong will to thrive. He is really a true miracle, an inspiration and a hero.
