PAST EVENT - Great Teddy Bear Run - 13th Annual

This charity event will benefit KIDS by the SEA, a local non-profit, serving children with cancer in our area since 1982. Every year we have a police escorted parade with a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal strapped to our bike and end at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for a big party with lots of food & fun.

For $15 & a stuffed animal for charity, you gain entrance to the parade & event which includes your barbecue dinner, soda and water. Beer by the glass will be available for a reasonable donation.

There will be lots of seating for dining both inside the Arena & outside in a huge tent. So rain or shine we will still do the event & have a great time!

Once at the fairgrounds there will be Chinese & silent auctions, a 50/50 drawing, a judged bike show, motorcycle rodeo sponsored by the Manatee River HOG Chapter & live music all day. This year there will be even more vendors! There are other surprises being lined up!

All bikers and bike clubs and the general public are invited.

The public is encouraged to watch the parade proceed down Honore Avenue & Fruitville Rd. leaving 11:30 a.m. from the mall parking lot at University Center.

There are Great Teddy Bear Run event T-shirts, with the Famous Biker Bear Logo available at registration or pre-order. We meet at The Shoppes at University Center mall, corner of University Parkway & I-75 exit #213 in Sarasota, Florida, Sunday morning the 14th of November. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. We leave in a police escorted parade at 11:30 a.m. to go to the Sarasota Fairgrounds.

Tickets are on sale at Rossiter’s Harley Davidson in Sarasota and at Manatee River Harley Davidson off SR 64 in Bradenton NOW to pre-register and pre-registration will be available online after Labor Day. The Pre-registration/advance price is $10 per person if paid for at the dealerships or mailed in & postmarked by 11-6-2010.

The event is open to all bikers / all bike clubs & the general public.
