YWCA of Canton Ohio Inc.

The YWCA of Canton Ohio’s First Annual Hitting the Highway for the Homeless Motorcycle Ride will be held on July 25, 2010 at Slutz Park in Mineral City, Ohio. Registration can be done prior on line or the day of beginning at 10:00 A.M. The Bikers for Christ will offer a service at 9:00AM and a bike blessing. The Honorary Motorcycle will depart at 11:00 to begin the ride and the last motorcycle will leave at 12:00PM.

The ride will be approximately 125 miles taking around 3 hours to travel through Tappan and Atwood Lake as well as other wonderful scenic areas.. The stops will include Buehler’s Grocery Store, Mako Market, and Dellroy Market where if you are unhappy with your pulled card you may choose to redraw by purchasing a non-perishable protein item from the stop to be donated to the YWCA’s food pantry.

Registration is $30.00 for the rider and $15.00 for the passenger. Registration will include a free T-shirt to the first 50 registries, a meal, a ticket for the Chinese Auction, a souvenir button, and kick stand holder. Cash prizes will be offered to the top hand and the worst hand. All proceeds will go to benefit the programs of the YWCA which include a women’s’ homeless shelter, childcare, and transitional housing.

There will be a Motorcycle Show for a $20 entry fee if not riding. A trophy will be awarded to the Best of Show Motorcycle.

D.J starting at 3:00PM
Motorcycle Show starting at 3:00PM
