PAST EVENT - MDA 2009 Summer Sizzler Poker Run and Car Show

SUMMER SIZZLER CAR SHOW & POKER RUN
TO BENEFIT THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION.

Mustang, OK - The 7-Eleven Summer Sizzler Car Show & Motorcycle Poker Run to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th, 2009. The event is located at Wild Horse Park at 1201 N. Mustang Road. The car show features 22 categories including street rods, classic cars, trucks, etc. Judging for the car show will be participatory with awards for the top 2 in each category, as well as People's Choice.

The run will take you on a scenic route around the OKC area to 7-Eleven Stores across the metro. Participants for the Car Show and the Motorcycle Poker Run can pre-register at any Oklahoma 7-Eleven Stores until Wednesday, July 8th and receive one FREE 2009 commemorative T-shirt the day of the event and save $5. After July 8th participants can register the day of the event.

The cost of admission for spectators is $2 for adults. Children 12 and under are FREE! Admission includes a live concert at no additional cost. Not able to make the concert? You can still catch some music with Star Productions, who will be spinning a variety of tunes all day long, as well as a live remote by BOB 96.9FM. You will not want to miss the live auction at 1:30pm, MORE SUMMER SIZZLER CAR SHOW & MOTORCYCLE POKER RUN.
 
Conducted by 2002 State Champion Auctioneer Burt Smith. The auction will feature a variety of items you will want to check out. No need to leave for lunch! Concessions will be offered throughout the day, with proceeds benefiting the MDA. Vendors are welcome and should contact Shelly Welborn at the MDA office, 405-722-8001, for more information.

Since 1950, the MDA has provided the most comprehensive program services of any voluntary health agency in the country. Here are a few examples of what the proceeds from fundraising events enable MDA to do for more than 1,100 kids and adults right here in Central & Western Oklahoma: Summer camp, Clinic, Support groups, Research and financial assistance with the purchase and repair of medical equipment including communication devices.
