PAST EVENT - Mikey Hart Memorial Poker Run

The 2010 Mikey Hart Memorial Poker Run is set to take place on Saturday, June 12th, 2010. Registration starts at 10am and goes to 12pm at the Belington Vol. Fire Dept. in Belington, WV. The cost per player is $10.00 which includes your poker hand, prizes, great food and beverages. There will also be a bike show.

The ride starts at the Belinton Fire Dept., goes to Junior Fire Dept., then to the Elkins Fire Dept., to the Buckhannon Fire Dept., to Bridgeport Fire Dept., lastly to the Philippi Fire Dept., and ends at the Belington VFW Park. Last bike is due in by 4pm to be eligible for any poker hand prizes.

All proceeds go to the Mikey Hart Memorial Scholarship Fund, which was developed to help provide students that wish to pursue an education in fire science and/or paramedic, or firefighters children no matter their field of study, with monetary assistance.

The scholarship is set up through the Barbour Co. Community Foundation. We have been able to give out 8 scholarships in the past 2 years of $500.00 each. The poker run has been a great event the past several years with 200 bikes+.
