National Accounts Division On September 12, 2009, The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) will be sanctioning a Charity Poker Run for the benefit of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The event will begin at Vector Security’s National Accounts Division Building, 10642 Wakeman Court, Manassas, Virginia. Registration begins at 9:00 am. The scenic and well-planned 82-mile ride will take place from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, with festivities continuing until 6:00 pm. Entry fee is only $20 per hand…Or, for an entry fee of $40, receive an event T-shirt, patch and pin! Entry fees include lots of food, door prizes, and more, as well as live entertainment by Rebelicious, who recently opened for Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Alan Jackson, Rascal Flats, Sugarland, and Taylor Swift to name a few. Prizes include a $1,000 Gift Card for the Best Hand; $500 Gift Card for the Worst 5-Card Hand; as well as a $500 Gift Card for High Activity Point Total. Tickets will also be available for a raffle and 50/50 drawing, and additional event T’s, pins and patches will be available for sale/donation. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is the nation’s leading resource center for child protection. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing child abductions and sexual exploitation; helping to find missing children; and assisting the victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, their families, and the professionals who serve them. Not only does the NCMEC operate a national 24-hour, toll-free hotline (1-800-THE-LOST® (1-800-843¬5678) and an Internet tip line; they also coordinate public and private programs that locate, recover, and reunite missing children with their families. As of last year, research and statistics from the NCMEC estimate that around 797,500 children (younger than 18) are reported missing each year. That rounds out to an average of 2,185 children reported missing each day. We need your help to find these kids. So, for all the good the National Center does every day in the hopes of bringing these children home safely, we are asking you for your much needed support.
