PAST EVENT - Ride for the Pirate

Ahoy thar! We are making a Run in honor of our Cap’n and friend
LCDR Jose (Joe) “Cuervo” Rodriguez, USCG Retired

$10 per cap’n (rider), $5 per bucko on back
All riders and bikes are welcome!

8:30 - 9:30am - Registration at Bayside Harley-Davidson off I-264 at Frederick Blvd. in Portsmouth, VA.
9:30am - Leave from Bayside HD riding to Yorktown Coast Guard Station.
10:00 - 11:00am - Registration for joining riders in parking lot 23 outside the gate of Yorktown Coast Guard Station in the Yorktown Battlefields.
11:00am - Leave Yorktown for Route 17 to Prince William County’s Locust Shade Park (just North of Fredericksburg).
1:30pm - Arrive at Locust Shade Park for carousing, grub and grog with a cook-out in Joe’s honor.
2:00pm - Yo-Ho-Ho. Unveiling of the new clipper’s paint job.

We are happy to celebrate and honor Lt. Commander Joe’s outstanding career in keeping Americans Free and Safe. His career started as a rescue swimmer saving lives, then off to officer’s school to lead others. He then led the DEA through the rivers of South America to fight the war on drugs and was featured on the TV show “COPS” for one of the largest drug busts in history. He then led law enforcement teams in Miami to continue the war on drugs and trained law enforcement teams in Yorktown, VA, after which he led the first anti-terrorism team in the Coast Guard.

Now Joe is fighting his toughest battle yet against brain cancer. Being a long time biker and soldier, Joe has the spirit to win the battle and we are all behind him in every way. Let’s show him support as friends, fellow servicemen, fellow bikers and anyone who would like to support a true American hero.

Joe’s Harley Fatboy was driven from his house in Aquia, VA to Chesapeake where it is to be custom airbrushed into a pirate theme by artist Bill Tippit of Billzart Custom Designs (757-635-4020). We will then unveil the bike at the end of our ride to Joe and everyone else. I hope you will join us on this cause for a great friend and American hero.
