PAST EVENT - Ride for the Red Riding to Save Lives

The 2009 ride will be through Kiowa and Comanche Counties. Check in is at 9 a.m. at Barclay College-Jackson Hall, 101 E. Cherry St. Haviland, KS. Riders will depart by 10 a.m. and will return by 1:30 p.m. to BTI (John Deere) 15479 US 54 Greensburg, KS to find out who has the top hand.

For $10 per chance, riders will get the opportunity to win one of the grand prizes, $500, $250 or $50. When riders buy three chances, they’ll also receive a Ride for the Red t-shirt sponsored by Southern Plains Coop. Or if you’re feeling extra lucky, participants can purchase opportunities to win a 110cc Coolster ATV. For tickets or location of where the ATV is being displayed, please call the chapter office at (620) 672-3651. You do not need to participate in the Ride for the Red to purchase a ticket or be present to win.

Money raised from Ride for the Red will stay locally with the Cannonball Trail Chapter, which serves Barber, Comanche, Edwards, Kiowa, Pratt and Stafford Counties. For more than 90 years, the chapter has helped victims of house fires and natural disasters, kept military families connected, taught lifesaving classes, demonstrated family care giving skills and techniques and much more.
