Teamster Horsemen Ride for NEADS (service dogs for the deaf & disabled)

Ride leaves @ 10:30 sharp from Paramount Harley - Davidson 266 Waverly St. Framingham Ma. and travels via back roads, escorted by Middlesex Sheriffs Dept. through surrounding towns to AMVETS POST 79, 55 Prime Parkway, Natick Ma.

Price on day of event: $25.00 /rider $10.00 /passenger
non-riders $10.00 at AMVETS under 12 : free Pre- registration available on Horsemen website for $20.00 /rider $5.00 /passenger. Registration on the day of the event is from 8:30 - 10:15

Help of raise funds to provide servide dogs to people with disabilities. NEADS of Princeton, MA, is a non-profit organization, that trains and provides assist dogs to people who are deaf or physically disabled. These dogs are instrumental in allowing people with disabilities to lead more independent lives. These assistance dogs bring security, freedom, independence and relief from social isolation to their human partners.

NEADS relies solely on the support of individuals, foundations, corporations, service organizations, bequests and workplace campaigns. It receives no government funding. NEADS is the only program of its kind in New England,as well as one of the country's largest. It is part of a prison puppy partnership, developed in Massachusetts 11 years ago, by NEADS.

The dogs are trained by inmates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Friday afternoons they are taken out by weekend puppy raisers, so they can feel the different sights and sounds that they will encounter with their human partner when they’re out in the real world
