PAST EVENT - Benefit for Gary King

Gary King, long time friend of many and father of one, was critically injured in a motorcycle accident. The accident occurred back on February, 6th, 2010 – the Saturday before Super Bowl. Although Gary is an experienced rider and was wearing his helmet, he still suffered severe head trauma as well as other physical injuries.
Praise to God, after several weeks in the Neurosurgical ICU, Gary was stable enough to be moved to a critical care unit and then to rehabilitation facilities where he began his healing and therapeutic relearning processes. Gary was in a semi-comatose state for over 3 months. He is still undergoing full time therapy at a resident facility in Conroe.
Needless to say, Gary’s life, and that of his 9 year old daughter, has changed forever. Beyond the obvious medical and financial challenges he now faces -- since the accident, Gary’s marriage has ended and he has lost his home, job, and truck. However, he has his life – and the love of his life, his daughter and inspiration, Cheyanne King. Gary also has us . . . those of us who are privileged enough to know and love him and so many others who simply care enough to show him.
