The 3rd Annual Channel 3 Kids Camp Benefit Ride is just down the road and we’re looking forward to another successful event on Sunday, July 10, 2011! In partnership with Trantolo & Trantolo, the 2011 ride is led by Grand Marshal, Kevin Hogan of WFSB Channel 3. He’s sharing his passion for riding with hundreds of riders, a great line up of bands, and the Channel 3 Eyewitness News Team including Scot Haney, Olessa Stepanova, Hallie Jackson and Heather Hegedus!
Event day registration and pre-ride party is from 9:00am to 11:30am at TSI Ellington Harley–Davidson, Buell. Take time to grab some coffee, check out our prizes for the day, and enjoy live entertainment by Higher Ground. The pre-party also features an A.M. meet & greet reception with Scot Haney and Olessa Stepanova, don’t forget your camera!
Non-riders are welcome to attend, please follow sign for vehicle parking. The escorted ride will leave promptly at 12:00pm, traveling over 40 miles through scenic Connecticut until reaching Sun Valley Beach Resort in Stafford Springs. The after ride party features a barbeque by the beach (donated by Bozzuto’s Inc.), the Trantolo Girls, prize drawings, vendors, music, contests and fun - all to help our children experience positive programming at the Channel 3 Kids Camp!
The afternoon music stage welcomes Arizona Maid Band, Quintera and Chillum, each band has generously donated their time and talent to entertain attendees all afternoon.
Don’t ride? Go to the after party, kicking off at approximately 1:00pm, with an open invitation to the public. Participants have the chance to win a number of valuable prizes including a $1000 TSI Harley Davidson gift certificate (for pre-registered riders before Friday July 8, courtesy of TSI and Trantolo & Trantolo), a gas grill donated by Superior Energy, motorcycle gear, gift certificates, memorabilia and much more!
Current prize donations and photos from last year can be found on the Benefit Ride page on the Channel 3 Kids Camp website. All bikes, riders and walk-ins are encouraged to participate.
Event registration donation is just $25 per bike or couple. The Scot & Olessa meet & greet reception is an additional $5 for registered riders and $10 for non-riders.
