PAST EVENT - Easy Rider Poker Run

Come celebrate the installation of a marble sidewalk marker commemorating the 1968 filming of the classic biker movie, Easy Rider, in Morganza, Louisiana. Also help raise funds to save parts of Morganza’s historic one-room jail, which is full of unique art, but slated for demolition due to decay.

Before the Ride: Easy Rider Marker Installation Ceremony
10:00am – Former Site of Melancon’s Cafe
(181 Hwy 1 in Morganza – now Bethel Baptist Worship Center about a mile north of the Bear’s Den on Hwy 1)

The Ride: Begins & ends at The Bear’s Den in Morganza
First bike out 10:30am / Last Bike in 3:30pm

The poker run will take you past filming locations including the scene at Melancon’s Cafe and the final scene on the levee north of Krotz Springs.
