PAST EVENT - Love Shouldnt Hurt Bike Ride - Fifth Annual

We are very pleased to invite you to join other local motorcycle enthusiasts in celebrating our Fifth Annual Love Shouldn’t Hurt Bike Ride on Sunday, November 14, 2010. The ride starts with breakfast and registration at Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City and ends with lunch and a concert at Hungry Harry’s in Land O’Lakes. Registration is at 8am and Kickstands up at 10am.

There will be three stops in the poker run before the concert and lunch at Hungry Harry’s BBQ. We will stop at the Harley Davidson of Brandon and Tampa as well as the VFW Post 4321 in South Tampa.

Entry fee for the ride/poker run is $20 and includes breakfast, lunch, and commemorative gifts. The bike and tattoo contest are an additional $5 entry fee as is any additional poker hands or raffle tickets. Non-riders can join us at Hungry Harry’s for lunch and a concert after the ride for $20.

This event will be part of the finale of October’s “Domestic Violence Awareness Month” in Hillsborough County. The Spring’s month-long campaign will raise awareness of an “epidemic” that threatens the stability and well-being of our families. These economically challenging times have seen a sharp rise in domestic violence – Hillsborough County has experienced 17 domestic homicides since last August..

So the services of The Spring remain critical. Over the years, we have been the emergency responder to over 60,000 victims in need of safety and shelter. This year alone, our hotline fielded over 14,000 calls for crisis counseling, and we provided direct services for over 2,000 individuals.
