PAST EVENT - Walk And Roll Parade Motorcade against violence

HipHop Fans, Artist & Activist unite for a Peace and Positivity Parade. Da Big One Entertainment Corporation presents...
"WALK & ROLL" the 2nd Annual parade/motorcade for hiphop fans, motorbike and car clubs alike, to unify and bring awareness on several key issues affecting our communities:
Gun Violence....Education...Poverty...Racial Reconcilation and all things positive. The recent rash of gun violence and other violent crimes in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Area has caused some members of the HipHop Community to take action and show a form of solidarity against such deplorable acts in our communities.
September 11th 2010 @ 12pm
The “WALK & ROLL” Parade will commence at the 6300 block of Miller Ave. & Grand Ave. while preceding west to Lake St

Assembly of participants will begin @ 11:30am
The parade start time is 12pm The parade and festivities end time is 6pm. This ride will take us along Marquette Park Beachfront (Lake Michigan)The event is incorporated with The Miller Beach Community of Gary's "Festival on the 1st"...the festival will include various food vendors and musical entertainment


At the conclusion of the parade Artist, Activist and Riders will have a rally and After Party...location TBA
There is no fee for parade/motorcade participants...
To Enter The Bike and Car Contest (seperate contest) there is a $20 entry fee per bike or car...Funds received will go towards the "ProjeKt Peace Hip-Hop MixTape Da Movement"
Donations accepted as well All participants must register for this event by September 10th to ensure an accurate count on the length of the parade for the City of Gary police escort.
