2011 Laconia Motorcycle Bike Week
Coming June 11th to Laconia, New Hampshire, Laconia Motorcycle Week – the original riding rally - is back at it again for the 88th Anniversary! This event hosts a variety of entertainment from fireworks, live music, and parades, to custom bike build-offs, memorial rides, and swap meets.
Here's some of what you can expect at this year's Rally – so make sure you mark your calendar: Kickoff your week by participating in the 5th Annual Peter Makris Memorial Ride and any other great charity ride that occurs on Saturday. The Ride to the Sky up Mount Washington will once again be open for "Bikes Only" on Monday and Thursday of Motorcycle Week. Plan a day at the Hillclimb/Drag Races at Gunstock Mountain Resort on Wednesday. You also want to make sure to set aside time for all of the bike shows, swap meets, blessings and all the street action on Lakeside Avenue. The second weekend will light up with a new short track race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway at 6pm and the 88th Annual Loudon Classic race will be on Saturday at NHMS. There will be a Toy Run Parade for the Classic, leaving from Interlakes High School in Meredith at 10am. This parade will lead you to the track for the race and if you bring a toy – you'll get a discount on the race!
